The DeepBlue 4.0 is a bifacial panel, meaning it can generate from light reflected onto its rear face as well as direct sunlight on the front. On a reflective roof or a ground mount with clearance, that adds useful yield.

Bifacial gain depends on the surface below. A light-coloured roof or gravel ground reflects more light than dark zinc or grass.

Does bifacial work on a zinc roof?
The gain is limited on dark surfaces. It works best on a light roof or an elevated ground mount.
Can it be mounted flat?
It should have some tilt and rear clearance to benefit from bifacial gain and to allow rain to clean the glass.
