Questions about this one
Is 8GB of memory enough?
For browsing, writing and light photo editing, yes. For heavy multitasking or video work, choose 16GB.
Does it have a fan?
No. The M2 Air is fanless, so it stays silent but can slow slightly under very long sustained loads.
The details
Enough for most days.
The M2 chip opens apps quickly and handles many browser tabs without complaint. The fanless design means no noise during calls or writing sessions.
The M2 MacBook Air introduced the flatter aluminium design, a larger screen and MagSafe charging. It remains a quiet, light laptop for browsing, writing, spreadsheets and photo edits.
A known quantity
The keyboard, trackpad and screen are familiar to anyone who has used a modern Mac. MagSafe charging keeps a port free and trips safely if the cable is pulled.
